I Need Glasses!

Eyes are one of the most important organs of our body, I’ve always said if i were to choose no
Legs, arms or eyes, I would forfeit being without eyes or sight and gladly take up the two. I think you would choose the same or maybe not but our sight is one of the greatest treasure and blessings there is for man.

Morning Manna- What do you see?
Bible verses- “As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’” Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.
- [ ] What did you see? Jesus asks this question three times to the people in audience. It was a question of who or what they perceive John to be. Was he a reed shaken in the wilderness, or one who lived in the kings house because of the soft clothings he wore and lastly was he a prophet. Jesus answer was, yes, John was not only a prophet but more than a prophet.
- [ ] In the question and assessment of people’s view, about who people saw John to be, Jesus shared three worldview of how people think and saw reality. The first one “a reed in the wilderness” - the natural view(nature), a man in soft clothes signifies man living in kingly glory- the human standard or status view(humanly)- and lastly a prophet - the godly view. (Godly)
- [ ] The lesson is simple, which of this views do I see and gauge reality in this life by; the natural, humane or godly. Jesus saw things always through the godly or heavenly world view. And how is that done by, the answer is found in Mathew 11:10 “For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’” Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬. Jesus saw things by “IT IS WRITTEN”, Jesus saw things always through the word of God, this is how he saw things, people and situations. Jesus eyes is through God’s words.
- [ ] To conclude “What do you see?”. May we see things through God’s eyes not through nature or the humane. And seeing things through God’s eyes is only through the lens of His word. “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬ ‭NKJV‬. Why is this important? People might have missed who John was or people might missed God’s blessing to them through the ministry and life of John. Thus, the greater prayer this morning is not simple as “Lord let see what you see” but “Lord help me be acquainted or read God’s word that I may see as God sees and not miss my blessings. Amen”
- [ ] God bless everyone and may you all have a blessed day.

Feeling Restless!!!

Pressured and in need of true peace?

Bible Answers.
- [ ] Bible verse: “For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” Hebrews 4:10

- [ ] The bible verse advocates a powerful and living model of finding rest. The verse declares that rest is found in God, and to find the rest we need to follow Gods example to find rest. How did God advocate or shows us to find that rest, it is found in ceasing to work and rest. The model of rest found in the chapter and verse is the creation account of Gods work and resting at the end of his work, which is the sabbath day rest. The chapter also declares rest the people would have received if they had been obedient.
- [ ] The core of the verse this morning is simple, true rest is found in following God, it is found in being obedient to God, is found in what God says at the heart of it all. The opposite direction is true, no rest or restlessness is found when we are without God.
- [ ] Many ways and forms of rest we search for but this morning is simple the best, peaceful and truest rest in found in God and through following his words. This thought bring to mind one of Christ promise which I would like to close with this morning ““Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
- [ ] God bless and may we keep on following Jesus to find and always have true rest.

God keeps His Promises.

This morning as I came to school, is an ordeal of waiting and anticipation for the local minibus which is on route direct from Nadi Town to Fulton. Will it come or not?

But the greatest temptation is seeing several buses and minibus which go along to school but just at the Sabeto Junction then we find a transport again there to Fulton. Together with this is the early morning rush to attend class and having a short test too this morning.

The buses and minibus stopped at the bus stop, the clocked ticked away even one of the passengers in the minibus waved and said you going up. I said thank you and hold onto waiting in hope that the minibus will come soon. There are two school friends there waiting also looking to the horizon for that navy blue minibus to appear. And Lo and behold there it came.

The bible verse that would like to share with this reflection this morning is ““God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Like that minibus we wait and rely on things to come through in life because of our dependence and hope. This morning as reflecting in this morning’s experience it Gods promises will not fail. It may tarry but it always will be carried to fulfilment. There are many options and temptation in life which is easy and fast but does bring true fulfilment and joy.

May our prayer be “Lord, help me have faith that you will always keep your promises”
Blessed Day, all.
