Two men have been arrested by the Southern Division Taskforce, and the vehicle seen in the video has been seized by the task force.

Members of the task force were injured as the suspects threw stones at the officers.

The officers eventually subdued the two, and they were taken into custody as investigations continue.

The two are seen in a now viral video, attempting to rob a house in Tacirua this morning.

The Fiji Police Force commends the brave actions of the family that warded off the suspects, and provided crucial information that led to the quick arrests, as well as members of the community for sharing information with the investigating officers.

Divisional Taskforces have been beefed up this festive period, noting past trends in the rise of opportunistic crimes.

The Police has issued a stern warning to those with the intent of committing crimes that they will be caught and brought to justice to face the consequences of their actions as per the law.
