A rare zebra foal was photographed in Kenya with spots instead of stripes. This remarkable animal was spotted in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, likely displaying a genetic mutation known as pseudomelanism.

The foal, born with dark fur and white spots, was observed by photographer Frank Liu, who was originally searching for a rhinoceros. Liu noted, "At first glance, it looked like a completely different species."

The foal, estimated to be about a week old, was named Tira by Anthony Tira, a Maasai guide who first noticed it. The discovery highlights the unique beauty and diversity of wildlife in this renowned reserve.
