CAMERA SILENS (France)

Born in the gritty streets of Bordeaux in the early '80s, Camera Silens wasn’t just a punk band - they were a warning shot. Their music exploded with rage against police repression, boredom, and the bleak future handed to France’s youth. It wasn’t style, it was survival.

Fronted by Gilles Bertin, snarling and defiant, the band carved out anthems for the disillusioned. Their sound was tight, fast, and furious - straight from the squat to the stage, no filter. For a while, they were the pulse of the underground.

Then, in 1988, Bertin vanished after a daring armed robbery. Punk folklore was born. Years later, he reemerged - older, sober, haunted. But the legacy remained: Camera Silens captured a moment when music wasn’t about escape, it was about fighting back.

🚛 Première démo pour Crimes et Camions, nouveau groupe bordelais formé de vétérans de la scène DIY (ça vous dit quelque chose Face Up To It ?).
Ils crachent sur les saloperies du capitalisme à grands coups de hardcore punk old school, qui fleure bon le Minor Threat, Black Flag et autres Circle Jerks.

Cette excellente émission belge (noise rock, post punk, garage etc) vient d'annoncer qu'elle s'arrête au bout de 30 ans! Bravo pour avoir maintenu un tel niveau aussi longtemps👊
