The road to self-publishing has many potholes. I managed to publish my book myself and learned a lot about this process. Promoting your book is the next step, which actually begins before your book is launched. You have to reach out to everyone you know and ask for help.

My book, Six French Cities, is an inspirational travel memoir - about my journey to find a French city that I could call home when I retired. This is my first book but not the one I had intended to write, and coincidentally, this subject has resulted in me creating a French Adventure Series. Book two picks up where book one leaves off. It illustrates my preparation to relocate, the challenged, the move, me adapting and living my first year in France. That book, A Boomer in Bordeaux, will be published in the fall of 2026.

Six French Cities debuted as a #1 Best Seller for New Releases - Solo Travel on Amazon USA, and on Amazon France #3 Best Seller New Releases - African American Studies. I've received 5 star reviews and much feedback about how much readers have enjoyed my book about France from my perspective.
