At the AGM there is a vote on a board position, Ana is running for this position and would be a fantastic addition to the board. She brings with her vast event management experience and being a long standing dressage and eventing competitor, she sees things from all sides.
Please, if you can, attend the agm and vote, sadly it seems the agm is not livestreamed nor are proxy votes allowed, so you must attend in person if possible.

Good morning guys,
My name is Ana hughes and Iam the chair person for the south Munster region 🙂
As some of ye know Iam going for a position on the Dressage Ireland board next week at the AGM and would really appreciate your support and more importantly your vote 😁
A few little bits about me for those of you that don’t know ..
Firstly Iam very enthusiastic 😃 I have been involved in many aspects of the sport in both eventing and dressage. I’ve competed to international level in eventing many times and have represented Ireland 2 years in a row and the home nations in dressage.
I work full time with horses and have a real passion for the sport.
I was chair for the Munster eventing region as well as being a very active rider and volunteer from the internationals / nationals and training🙂I’ve organised the ball for many years which was always a success and I would hugely love to be involved with organising the DI ball next year.
It’s no secret how our region has grown over the last 3 years with at least 1 if not 2 shows a month, with many training clinics for both youth and senior riders and not to forget our end of year party.
Our shows attract huge crowds each time and there’s such a lovely buzz at them. A real family friendly atmosphere.
I myself make an effort to be at each event if I can , be it riding or on the ground and i really enjoy mingling with the riders or simply just helping out. I do a lot for the region, I do show times, I score I do call up all with a friendly smile 😊
but I will say, I have a fabulous committee that all throw themselves in and we all have the same goal..to always be better 💃🏽
Whist I appreciate it’s not always smooth sailing I feel my knowledge, positive attitude , organisational skills and genuine love for the sport will go along way in the sport.
I know it’s a lot to ask but if you have time and don’t mind the drive to Dublin Next Thursday evening please do attend the agm and put in your vote.

I have big plans and want dressage to be as big as it can be all the time going forward and progressing😃
