Tête de Chien ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We didn't know about this place until we arrived at Cannes and found it by accident while looking for directions towards La Corniche. Our plans for that day were just to drive on the famous picturesques roads of French Riviera.
Having read about it, we wanted to
see Monaco's panorama from high above so we embarqued for the Grand Corniche with the destination Tête de Chien.
There was a parking at about 800 m from the spot, so we left our car there (anyway the road was closed for cars).
It was a little hot, we were a bit tired and not in a great mood for walking, but the spectacular views made us forget about it.

When we arrived, we saw at first a plato from where you could see Monaco from above, but only the stadium. Initially we had a feeling of sadness thinking that the place was not the one we were looking for.

After we browsed arround a bit we've stumbled upon a side alley leading to a small tunnel which was the way to the view we're looking for. Of course once arrived at the edge we were struck by the marvelous view of Monaco from above.

Not only that, but the place has a magnificent view over the Mediteranean sea meeting the mountains, the winding roads descending from the top of the mountain, being also a great spot for watching the sunrise over or sunset behind the mountains 🌄

TITANIC Exposition / La Cité de la Mer CHERBOURG ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟
When we've heard about the Titanic exposition at Cherbourg we imediatly put it on our list. We didn't do much research about it because sometimes we love surprises. We booked our tickets and when we arrived at Cherbourg this was our first stop.
We were excited about it, imagining that we will see some reproduction of how it was on Titanic.
We knew that we will also see some objects recovered from the wreck.

PIERREFONDS CASTLE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🏰 It was winter, cold and cloudy, that's how we discovered Pierrefonds, we were at home, on a boring weather, but in a mood of going out, googling for castles. So we visited it that weekend, in january. The castle is located in Northern France, in the commune of Pierrefonds (at about 90 km from Paris and 14 km from Compiegne).
We could say that we were fascinated by its architecture and also by the beautiful exterior gardens with great views over the village.

Our overall experience was excellent, we had a great time and we would revisit it anytime

Visit time of year : January, it was quiet in the village and few tourists at the castle
Transport : by car, there were plenty of available parking spots around the castle area
As for the prices, the ticket was 8 € / adult
