[ ✨LIFE AT THE PUCES ] Meet our favourite style cat Mae Lapres – founder of the vintage destination (Stand 122bis, Alley 7, Marché Vernaison) at the , fashion model (check her IG ), and proud parrot mum (spot her pink cockatoo Caesar in slide 5). Mei Mei has hand-sourced every gotta-have piece in her shop – from label-less gems to designer treasures – and she’s the perfect person to show them off. Always up for a chat, too. Today’s look of the day: linen tartan trousers and a leather harlequin coat (both from FreePStar), liitle Gucci messenger bag, and the cutest little beret. 💗

🖤 is the new archival fashion boutique from our friends Dennis of (vintage Margiela, Raf, etc.) and Théo from (Italian 80s–90s finds). They’ve just opened their own space at 1 cour de l’Île Louviers, under the arches of the Morland Mixité project, 75004.
🌴 Disco, now at , is a vast, immersive exhibition of Vivian Suter’s painting practice – nearly 500 unframed canvases overlapping, stacked, swaying in the wind. Made over the past decade in her tropical Guatemalan garden studio. Sublime and slightly surreal.
🍨 The summer gelateria is back! Il Gelato Teatro is serving small-batch scoops – think fior di latte, pistachio, dark choc sorbet – in the courtyard of the until 20 July.
🍹 From Wednesday at : five summer evenings with ’s Franck Audoux. Upstairs at the bar, cocktails meet tea from the T. Collection, paired with five à la carte izakaya-style dishes. Beautifully restrained, beautifully made.

💥Men’s kicks off tomorrow with a packed line-up of shows, pop-ups and parties. The headline event has to be Jonathan Anderson’s debut at on Friday, joined by returns to the Paris men’s schedule – Saint Laurent, Dries Van Noten, Études, and the Londoners Wales Bonner and Craig Green. Marine Serre and US label Bode are also back, the latter fresh off the March opening of its handsome Paris boutique. Newcomer – Camper’s experimental line led by fashion freak – makes its Paris debut on Thu. We’re also watching our friends launch at on Tue, a new pop-up from at 23 Rue de Grenelle opens today, and presents ‘Pure Fashion Day’ on Sunday, when Jacquemus closes the week at the Versailles Orangerie.

[ ON VIEW ] ‘Nothing could have prepared us; Everything could have prepared us’ – ’ retrospective opens today at the , the much-loved (and soon to be much-missed) art centre’s final show before it closes for five years of renovations this September. Themes of humanity, nature, friendship and sexuality – alongside protest and politics – recur throughout this vast installation, which captures the quiet interconnectedness of urban daily life and declares: ‘history is now’. Taking over the entire Level 2 of the Bpi library, 35 years of artistic practice – including photography, documentation, archives and all kinds of ephemera – unfold in dynamic dialogue with the library space. [ LIFE AT THE PUCES ] Paris nightlife and fashion legend , a former DJ at iconic Paris clubs, from the Palace to the Balajo, has opened his vintage clothes stand this weekend; find him at 26bis Rue Paul Bert. In other news, , dealer at (Alley 6, Stand 232), invited artists and to do an “intervention” on a kitsch Sarreguemines porcelain tableware service. They’ve painted radical black motifs over the service’s floral decorations, creating a whole new conversation with French “arts de la table”.

[ STUDIO VISIT ] Book person, animal person, is a Paris-based artist who conjures in ink, gouache and oil painting realms ripe with mystery shimmering behind the everyday. Mainly working on paper, her naive lines and scenes – recurring motifs include horses, dogs, books and enigmatic girl-woman figures – have all the resonance and gravity of myth or dream. She works on children’s and artist’s books, exhibitions, and collaborates with brands (The Booker Prize…) and the press (The New York Times…). Lately she contributed food souvenirs and sketches, made on the paper tablecloths of The Yellow Bittern in London, to the latest issue of . A selection of limited prints are for sale on her website and you can DM her for original pieces. I was lucky to visit her in her little studio located on an ancient street in Saint Germain yesterday, and here’s what I saw.

🔻For his exhibition ‘As Above So Below’, British artist .leckey invites visitors into the heart of the ecstatic – showing how music, dance, or the city at large can be vectors for experiencing the sublime. Now on at .
🔺1909.bookstore, the indie bookshop dedicated to subcultures in art and especially music – hosted inside Dover Street Market Paris for the last few years – has just reopened an own-name space at 3 Passage Guilhem, 75011.
🔻The Paris-based fashion brand inspired by how artists dress, live and work, , continues its Paris pop-up ‘PRESENT PAST FUTURE’ until the end of the month at 19 rue Guénégaud, 75006, in the heart of the antiques quarter.
