"Face à la Seine" is my first foray into music for string quartet. I really enjoyed writing this piece, playing over the melodies and the counterpoint. I tried out a sonata form (why not ?) and finally wrote all the 4 parts in one go, I was the first surprised. A real pleasure in the end, in memory of real moments, in front of the Seine, during afterworks where life seemed so light and the possibilities infinite...

"Le chant du soir" was inspired in Soulac (France), one evening during the pandemic... I was sitting behind the church, alone, looking at the sky and listening to the sound of the sea in the distance, while a bird came close to me and sang, in the middle of the night. Around me, the silence, everywhere... Thanks covid ;)... Magical!
