Welcome for the prime of the new episode of Ling Gesar. This episode of Tibetan epic tradition of Gesar was recorded in Golok Tharlak, in front of Gesar's palace Sengdruk Taktse in Eastern Tibet, during the celebration of the 980 years of Gesar's birth.

In this episode, the new and young king of the Ling, Gesar, decides to take the army of the Ling to make the offering to the spirit of Amnye Machen, the eldest mountain of the Universe.

But the king of Hor can see the movement of Ling's soldiers and asks the help of Shemba, who will manage to send the demon wild giant yak to disturb the offering of Ling Gesar ...

Here is the second part of Tibetan sacred dances in Gesar tradition with English subtitles !
This dance is called "Lingdro dechen rolmo". It's a practice of self-liberation in the highest dzogchen ta**ra way, transmitted by Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok, the founder of Serta Larung buddhist settlement in Tibet, according to the teaching of the great buddhist master Mipham Rinpoche, the root lama of Ling Gesar's buddhist practice.
With my professor Lorik, we are preparing a cycle of translations and comments on this practice. This is just the second part.

The famous epic horse race of Ling was organized by king Trothung of Takrong. He hoped to win the race and to establish his legitimacy to become the king of all regions of Ling and especially to take for a second wife young and beautiful Dugmo, the daughter of the most rich nomad Kyalo. But his nephew Joru had a magic horse and was at the point to win, so oncle Trothung started to explain him how big problems it will be for Joru if he wins all this. Joru gave a smart answer, won the race and became the king Gesar of Ling. Here is the representation of this episode in Golok, Tibet.
