A 34-year-old South Sudanese woman, Akur Aleer Deng, has been found guilty of recklessly causing serious harm after a violent attack on her ex-partnerโ€™s new girlfriend in Adelaide, Australia.

Deng, a mother of five, reportedly traveled from Melbourne to Adelaide with the intent to confront the new partner of her former boyfriend. During the assault, she bit off a significant portion of the womanโ€™s lip and spat it onto the floor.

The court heard that both women have children with the same man, and that tensions between them had been escalating prior to the incident.

The victim recounted the traumatic experience in court, describing the attack as sudden and brutal.
