The meeting of an ancient and ancestral instrument like Ballake Sissoko's Kora and Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch's electronics is the heart of Radicants.

It's a search for new paths that have to do with immersion, abandonment and the creation of new roots: roots that are dynamic, evolving and capable of supporting the other. If the Kora is the source, electronics is the development, resonance and form.
So there's no opposition between two worlds - acoustic and electronic, traditional and contemporary, African and Western - but rather acceptance, collaboration and risk-taking.

Il s’agit d’une recherche de nouvelles voies qui ont à voir avec l'immersion, l'abandon, et la création de nouvelles racines : des racines dynamiques, en évolution et capables de soutenir l’autre. Respecter l’idée d’enracinement et justement savoir le projeter dans un monde kaléidoscopique et facetté Si la Kora est la source, l'électronique est le développement, la résonance, et la forme. Il n’y a donc pas d’opposition entre deux mondes - acoustique et électronique, traditionnel et contemporain, africain et occidental - mais plutôt acceptation, collaboration et prise de risque.

By nature hostile to any kind of purism, putting elements that come from very distant cultures on the same level, I believe that writing music has more to do with connecting elements scattered in the contemporary world than dealing with a blank sheet or a virgin session of a sequencer.
