Not every morning looks the same. Sometimes Daddy takes them, sometimes Mummy does—but today, we were both available.

And honestly, seeing the excitement on their faces made this morning extra special.

Even little Khalid, all dressed up with his bag on his back, riding his bicycle to crèche like a big boy.

These may look like ordinary school mornings, but these are the little moments our children will remember.

Grateful for the gift of being present. 🤍

was only trying to help Faiza put on her shoe… then she noticed my necklace and said, “Mummy, your jewelry is fine. It’s shiny.”

Of course, I had to ask, “Do you like it?”

Her answer? “Yes! I want it!”

And just like that, Mummy has promised to get her one too. 😂💕 These little conversations with our children are the moments we remember forever.

Motherhood is truly in the little things.

I was busy trying to put Faiza’s shoe on when I suddenly noticed Khalid with a hairbrush… brushing his sister’s hair.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting that at all!

And of course, I quickly told Faiza, “Tell Khalid thank you.”
And she did: “Thank you, Khalid

These are the little moments you don’t plan for, but somehow they become the memories you remember forever.

Sibling love may come with plenty of fighting, teasing and noise … but moments like this make your heart melt.

May they always grow up knowing they have each other.

We speak English, we’re Nigerian, but these French-born children of ours are definitely adding their own French flavour to the family 😂🇳🇬🇫🇷

I asked my 2-year-old what he could see in the book, and without hesitation he said, “Les enfants!”

And yes, my boy was absolutely correct!

Sometimes I just sit back and watch how naturally they pick up the language and culture around them. These little moments remind me that they are growing up with a beautiful mix of both worlds.

School drop-off with my little crew!

First, Khalid refused to leave his seat for anyone to carry him… so Mummy had to come and do the job herself!

But once everyone was out of the car, it was time for my usual mummy talk: Be confident. Be respectful. Don’t fight. Make good choices. And remember everything Mummy has taught you.

These little reminders may sound small, but I believe the things we constantly tell our children become the voices they carry with them.

Now go and make Mummy proud!
