Back-to-school shopping with kids is always an adventure!

She saw the shiny little pencil case and immediately said, “I like this one.

Meanwhile, Mum was thinking, But where will all your pencils, erasers, colouring pencils and biro fit?” 😂

Eventually, she found another one with more space—and of course, she loved it too!

Building a family can take so much of us as mothers.

But while we are raising our children, caring for our families and doing everything we can to make life work, let’s not forget the dreams we carry within us.

It may take longer. It may happen little by little. But that’s okay.

Keep raising your family. Keep building your home. And keep building yourself too.

Your dreams are still valid.

You are allowed to build a beautiful family and still build something for yourself.

You can be a present parent and still have dreams.
You can care for your family and still pursue your purpose.
You can be tired and still keep going.
You can start small and still build something that will one day become big.

Don’t despise the little steps you’re taking in between school runs, work, meals, responsibilities and family life.

Sometimes, building your dream looks like one small step after everyone has gone to bed.

Keep going.
Keep learning.
Keep showing up.

One day, you’ll look back and realize that those little things you were doing while raising your family were actually building the life you prayed for.

This Monday, don’t give up on yourself. Your family is part of your purpose, but your dreams matter too.

To every parent trying to raise a family while quietly building something for themselves—this is your reminder that you don’t have to choose between loving your family and pursuing your dreams.

Build slowly. Build intentionally. Build with what you have.

The journey may not look perfect, but every little step counts. One day, you’ll be grateful you didn’t give up.
