🇫🇷Le domaine historique de Caiarossa, situé en Toscane, sur les collines, appartenant auparavant à la famille de Médicis. Le domaine fut créé en 1998 et racheté en 2004 par la famille Albada Jelgersma, déjà à la tête du Château Giscours à Margaux (Troisièmes Grand Cru Classés en 1855). Le terroir de Caiarossa est incroyablement riche et varié: dans ses sols on trouve du calcaire, du sable, de l'argile, des graves, ainsi que des composants ferreux et volcaniques. Les parcelles sont situées à l'altitude de 120 à 350 mètres, pas loin de la mer et avec différentes expositions. Ce qui participe à la richesse de ce terroir c'est également les microclimats variés et favorables à la viticulture. Plus de 10 cépages français et italiens sont cultivés pour la création des vins de caractères qui offrent une singularité et une profondeur remarquables. La philosophie du domaine est le respect de l'écosystème et de la symbiose de sols. A considérer comme éléments importants dans la comprehension de ce terroir les vents marins, l'important ensoleillement et la biodiversité de son terroir qui se reflètent dans les vins. Une approche biodynamique est appliquée depuis des dizaines d'années. A plus des 40 hectares de vignes, le territoire de Caiarossa comprend 34ha de forêts, 20ha de prairies de fleurs sauvages et 6ha d'oliveraies qui servent à la production de l'huile d'olive, ainsi que 14 ruches, dont les abeilles fertilisent les fleurs et les vignes. 🇺🇸The historic Caiarossa estate, is located on the hills of Tuscany, previously belonged to the Medici family. The estate was founded in 1998 and acquired in 2004 by the Albada Jelgersma family, who already owned Château Giscours in Margaux (a Third Growth Classified in 1855). The Caiarossa terroir is incredibly rich and varied: its soils contain limestone, sand, clay, gravel, as well as iron and volcanic components. The plots are located at altitudes ranging from 120 to 350 meters, close to the sea and with varying exposures. The richness of this terroir is also contributed by the varied microclimates that are favorable to viticulture. More than 10 French and Italian grape varieties are cultivated to create wines of character that offer remarkable singularity and depth. The philosophy of the estate is to respect the ecosystem and the symbiosis of the soils. Important elements in understanding this terroir include the sea winds, the abundant sunshine, and the biodiversity of its terroir, which are reflected in the wines. A biodynamic approach has been applied for decades. In addition to the 40 hectares of vineyards, the Caiarossa territory includes 34 hectares of forests, 20 hectares of wildflower meadows, and 6 hectares of olive groves used for the production of olive oil, as well as 14 beehives, whose bees fertilize the flowers and vines. 🇫🇷À part les célèbres Napa Valley et Sonoma en Californie, ou d'Oregon, l'État de Virginie a aussi des excellents vins à offrir. Cette région viticole américaine, beaucoup moins connue, se situe juste à 1 heure de route de la capitale des États-Unis, Washington, en face des Montagnes Cobbler, sur les sols sablonneux, résultants de l'érosion des grès et du granite. Virginie compte 10 sous-régions, 8 AVAs (American Viticultural Area) et plus de 300 domaines, produisant des vins rouges et blancs de grande qualité à partir des cépages français (Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, Viogner, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc et Cabernet Sauvignon). La spécialité de la région est les vins rouges en assemblage bordelais, profonds, veloutés et riches, mais raffinés et élégants. Un de tels exemples est la cuvée Rusticity de Delaplane Cellars, fait de 38% de Cabernet Franc, 33% de Petit Verdot et 29% de Cabernet Sauvignon. This much lesser-known American wine region is located just an hour's drive from the U.S. capital, Washington, across from the Cobbler Mountains, on sandy soils resulting from the erosion of sandstone and granite. Virginia has 10 subregions, 8 AVAs (American Viticultural Areas), and more than 300 wineries, producing high-quality red and white wines from French grape varieties (Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, Viogner, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon). The region's specialty is Bordeaux-style blended red wines, deep, velvety, and rich, yet refined and elegant. One such example is Delaplane Cellars' Rusticity cuvée, made from 38% Cabernet Franc, 33% Petit Verdot, and 29% Cabernet Sauvignon. 🇫🇷 Le Château de Meursault est un domaine emblématique de l'appellation Côtes de Beaune et de la région bourguignonne. Cette vaste propriété s'étend sur 67 ha et une centaine de parcelles sur les terroirs de 6 Grands Crus et 20 Premiers Crus, ainsi que des appellations régionales et villages. Le domaine investit largement dans son développement durable, la préservation de sa biodiversité et le respect de son écosystème. La plantation des herbes entre les rangs des vignes, la création de corridors de biodiversité, le maintien de l'équilibre des sols - tous ces actions contribuent à la santé du vignoble et à la récolte des raisins d'une qualité exceptionnelle. À partir du millésime 2022 la totalité du vignoble du Château de Meursault est converti en agriculture biologique. La bâtisse du château elle-même a été rénovée en 2024 et la rénovation de ses caves s'achèvera prochainement pour accueillir le millésime 2026. 🇺🇸Château de Meursault is an emblematic estate of the Côtes de Beaune appellation and the Burgundy region. This vast property extends over 67 ha and around a hundred plots on the terroirs of 6 Grands Crus and 20 Premiers Crus, as well as regional and village appellations. The estate invests heavily in its sustainable development, the preservation of its biodiversity and respect for its ecosystem. Planting grass between the rows of vines, creating biodiversity corridors, maintaining soil balance - all these actions contribute to the health of the vineyard and the harvest of grapes of exceptional quality. From the 2022 vintage, the entire Château de Meursault vineyard is converted to organic farming. The château building itself was renovated in 2024 and the renovation of its cellars will soon be completed to welcome the 2026 vintage. Tenuta Luce the Iconic Wine Celebrates 30 Years

To celebrate 30 years of Luce, the auction house Christie's has been involved in creating unique lots for auction worldwide, retracing the evolutionary history of each vintage. For this project, Tim Triptree, Master of Wine and International Director of the Wine & Spirits Department at Christie's, tasted the 30 vintages alongside Lamberto Frescobaldi and winemaker Alessandro Marini, contributing to the creation of The Anthology, a unique with the tasting notes of each vintage (1993-2022), the history of Luce from its origins to today.

🇫🇷 🇺🇸 Vin de la semaine // Wine of the week : Enrico Serafino Riserva Zero Dosè 140 2011 – Alta Langa Riserva – 17+/20, 94-95/100

🇫🇷Quand on évoque les vins du Piémont, ce sont les rouges Barolo et Barbaresco qui viennent tout de suite en esprit. Mais cette fameuse région viticole du nord d'Italie a aussi des excellents vins effervescents à offrir. L'appellation Alta Langa, consacrée uniquement aux vins effervescents, est située dans la partie sud du Piémont, sur la rive droite de la rivière Tanaro. Cette appellation, avec un cahier de charges strict (uniquement Chardonnay et Pinot Noir sont autorisés en monocépage ou en assemblage, le vin doit rester sur lies au moins 30 mois et être toujours millésimé) et des caractéristiques uniques telles qu'être la première en Italie à produire un vin effervescent avec la méthode traditionnelle et à se situer sur les sols d'origine ancienne, sédimentaire et cristalline. Ces particularités confèrent au vin d'Alta Langa une minéralité racée et des arômes distincts d'autolyse, qui forment un profil complexe et parfumé. Le domaine Enrico Serafino, qui existe depuis 1878 et produit ses vins dans le même cellier souterrain depuis plus de 140 ans. Aujourd'hui, c'est le vigneron le plus primé de l'appellation, qui produit des vins de caractère, dépassant les exigences du cahier de charge. Un des exemples est la cuvée "Zéro 140" du millésime 2011, qui passe 140 mois sur lies. 🇺🇸 When we think of Piedmont wines, Barolo and Barbaresco reds immediately come to mind. But this famous wine region in northern Italy also has excellent sparkling wines to offer. The Alta Langa appellation, dedicated exclusively to sparkling wines, is located in the southern part of Piedmont, on the right bank of the Tanaro River. This appellation, with strict specifications (only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are allowed as single varieties or blends, the wine must remain on lees for at least 30 months and must always bear a vintage) and unique characteristics such as being the first in Italy to produce a sparkling wine with the traditional method and being located on soils of ancient, sedimentary and crystalline origin. These particularities give Alta Langa wine a racy minerality and distinct aromas of autolysis, which form a complex and perfumed profile. The Enrico Serafino estate, which has existed since 1878 and has been producing its wines in the same underground cellar for over 140 years. Today, it is the most awarded winemaker in the appellation, producing wines of character, exceeding the requirements of the specifications. One example is the "Zero 140" cuvée from the 2011 vintage, which spends 140 months on lees. 🇫🇷 Le domaine Monteverro est un joyau de la côte toscane. Ses 35 ha de vignobles constituent un lieu unique, fortement influencé par la mer. Le sol est composé de couches de roche et d'argile rouge, qui confèrent aux vins un goût distinctif et reconnaissable.
De plus, le microclimat de Monteverro est particulièrement favorable à la vigne. Les pentes, où le vignoble est planté à 30-80 mètres d'altitude, surplombent la mer Tyrrhénienne et sont soufflées par des brises constantes et bénéficient de nuits froides et de journées chaudes et ensoleillées. Les vignobles de Monteverro sont entourés de maquis méditerranéen, qui apporte aux raisins des nuances d'herbes aromatiques et de fleurs et favorise la biodiversité. Ce maquis a toujours été le foyer des sangliers, dont le mot régional historique "verro" (qui signifie "sanglier") a donné le nom au domaine. Son vin phare, "Monteverro", est un assemblage bordelais de Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot et Petit Verdot, profond, complexe et raffiné, avec une structure robuste mais veloutée. 🇺🇸 Monteverro Estate is a gem of coastal Tuscany. Its 35 ha of vineyard is a unique place, strongly influenced by the sea. The soil here is composed of multi-layered rock and red clay, which give wines a distinctive and recognizable taste.
Furthermore, the microclimate of Monteverro is particularly favorable to vines. The slopes, where they are planted at 30-80 meters of altitude, overlook the Tyrrhenian Sea and are blowed by constant breezes and benefit from cold nights and warm, sunny days. The vineyards of Monteverro are surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, which provides to grapes nuances of aromatic herbs and flowers and benefits biodiversity. This scrubland was always a home for wild boars, which historical regional word "verro" (which means "boar") gave the name for the winery. The flagship wine of the estate "Monteverro" is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, deep, complex and refined, with robust, but velvety structure.
