WASHINGTON, D.C. —In his second term as President of the United States, has formalized a profound shift in diplomatic philosophy. George Floyd Protest Art Minneapolis 2025: From Resistance to Archive.
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA — On May 25, 2025, the city that became the epicenter of a global uprising paused not in silence, but in remembrance — through art. Five years after the murder of George Floyd, Minneapolis is not simply commemorating a tragedy; it is preserving a revolution. More than 1,100 protest murals created during the 2020 unrest are now safeguarded by the Black-led nonprofit , forming one of the most powerful grassroots art archives in American history.

This is not just preservation. This is testimony, pigment-deep and soul-bound.

Janet Jackson at the 2025 American Music Awards : A Night of Legacy, Power, and the ICON Award!
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — On the evening of May 25, 2025, history echoes from the stage of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, where Janet Jackson — artist, innovator, survivor — is being awarded the ICON Award at the 2025 American Music Awards. The moment is monumental: not only does it honor a five-decade career that has transformed global music, but it marks her first televised performance in seven years.
This is not nostalgia. This is presence. This is permanence.
As the audience rises to its feet, the name Janet Jackson flashes across the massive screens. She becomes only the third recipient in AMAs history to be honored with the ICON Award — after Rihanna and Lionel Richie — yet her legacy feels singular. Her art is not just admired; it is studied, felt, echoed, embodied.

With over 180 million records sold, a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a catalogue that has defined at least three musical generations, Jackson is honored not simply for what she has done, but for what she has made possible — for women, for Black artists, for survivors, for those who resist being reduced.

“Who’s America?” — Seattle Christian Rally Protest 2025 Sparks Cultural Firestorm!
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — On May 25th, 2025, the city of Seattle became the latest battleground in a war of values tearing through the heart of the United States. A rally organized by a coalition of conservative Christian groups under the banner of “Family First: Reclaiming American Values” drew an immediate and fierce response from LGBTQ+ rights organizations, student coalitions, and progressive civil society groups. What began as parallel demonstrations spiraled into hours of tension, confrontation, and ultimately, twenty-three arrests.
The question echoing in the streets, and now reverberating across a fractured nation, is stark and urgent: Whose America is this?

Trump’s Controversial Peace Plan: Ukraine Faces Pressure to Surrender Territory to Russia!
On Wednesday, ‘s administration laid out an American-designed proposal that essentially hands over all territory gained by Russia during the war while offering Ukraine only vague promises of security. Is this really what the United States stands for? President Volodymyr Zelensky firmly rebuffed the offer, stating, “There is nothing to talk about. This violated our Constitution. This is our territory, the territory of Ukraine.” Can one truly negotiate away their own homeland?

In response, Trump took to social media, accusing Zelensky of being “inflammatory” and suggesting that his resistance would only prolong the “killing field.” But who really benefits from such rhetoric? Donald Trump claimed that a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin was within reach—if only Zelensky would cooperate. “I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelensky,” he lamented. Why should Ukraine be forced into a corner while the aggressor seems to be getting a free pass?
European allies have expressed alarm, accusing Trump of switching sides in the conflict. Are we witnessing a shift in American foreign policy that prioritizes normalization with Moscow over support for an ally? Reports indicate that discussions are already underway regarding lifting sanctions on Russia and pursuing energy deals with Putin. What message does this send to other authoritarian regimes around the world?

Donald Trump’s Transgender Rights Assault: A Dire Threat to Democracy, Freedom and Equality!
Despite decades of progress on LGBTQ rights in many countries, from decriminalization to recognition of same-sex marriage, sexual and gender minorities are increasingly under threat. This comes at a time inclusive democracy around the world is in regression. In the shadow of a looming storm, President ‘s return to office has ignited a fierce tempest aimed at uprooting the very essence of transgender existence. Americans are waking each day under the weight of a government that seeks not only to erase their identity but to dismantle their access to life-saving care—a cruel decree that threatens to silence the vibrant voices of youth yearning for recognition and acceptance. Picture a young person, heart racing, as they stand before a doctor who suddenly turns away, the promise of gender-affirming care snatched from their grasp like a fleeting dream. With every executive order, Trump wields power like a sword, slicing through the fabric of dignity and forcing families into the shadows, where love is stifled and hope flickers dimly. But we cannot remain silent; we must rally together in defiance, amplifying our collective heartbeat against this tide of injustice. Let us unite our voices, pen letters, share stories, and stand as fierce guardians of truth—because when we rise as one, we can turn the storm into a symphony of resilience that echoes for generations to come.

Court Allows to Hit Pause on New Refugee Approvals: The Battle Over Immigration Heats Up!
A federal appeals court on Tuesday permitted the Donald Trump administration to cease the approval of new refugees seeking entry into the United States while a legal challenge regarding the president’s executive order, which halts the nation’s refugee admission process, is underway.
Refugees who had received conditional approval prior to President Donald Trump assuming office must still be processed according to the directive from a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals; however, the judges granted the Republican administration the authority to pause new approvals.
This panel of the appeals court largely overturned a ruling made by U.S. District Judge Jamal Whitehead in Seattle. Judge Whitehead determined that Trump could not invalidate the legislation enacted by Congress that established the refugee program, and that it must be reinstated.

« Today I am finally free! They may have imprisoned me but they never took my spirit! » said Leonard Peltier. « Thank you to all my supporters throughout the world who fought for my freedom. I am finally going home. I look forward to seeing my friends, my family, and my community. It’s a good day today ».
