The Witch’s Harvest
Mabon, celebrated around the Autumn Equinox, is a sacred turning point in the Wheel of the Year — when light and darkness stand in balance before the nights begin to grow longer.
It is a time of harvest, gratitude, reflection and release.
🌾 We give thanks for the blessings we have gathered.
🍎 We honour the fruits of our labours.
🍂 We release what has served its purpose.
🔥 We prepare our hearts and homes for the darker season ahead.
The name Mabon comes from Mabon ap Modron, a figure from Welsh mythology, and became associated with the modern Pagan celebration during the 20th century.
For the witch, Mabon is a beautiful time for abundance magic, gratitude rituals, protection, hearth magic and spellwork for letting go.
Gather autumn leaves, apples, berries, herbs and grains. Light a candle, breathe in the scent of the season, and pause to honour everything you have grown — within your garden and within yourself.
For just as the trees release their leaves, we too can release what we no longer need, trusting that beneath the darkness, new seeds are waiting to awaken.
