Ideas of James James Dickson is an Aberdeen Magician providing entertainment for Parties, Weddings and Corporate Engagements.

James is an accomplished solo performer demonstrating skills such as misdirection, mind reading and sleight of hand to create amazing magic. James is an accomplished solo performer demonstrating skills such as misdirection, mind reading and sleight of hand to create classical parlour magic with a modern twist. He is also one quarter of a group who toured the North East of Scotland with a show called “The Four Magicians”. This show was awarded the Best Magic Show in the UK 2024 by MagicSeats.

Amazing news!

Wow. Where do we even begin?!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2 centenary shows at Aberdeen Arts Centre this weekend!

Not only did we celebrate the very best in magic - but we are also thrilled to have raised £9,476.65 for the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign!

We'll have more to share when the confetti settles. But in the meantime, thanks for sharing 100 Years of Magic with us ♥️

Here I am Aberdeen Magical Society 100 Years of Magic exhibition at Aberdeen Arts Centre showing images of members and events over the years and detailing the history of the society as we celebrate our Centenary! It is available to view any time the Arts Centre is open to the public or why not come along and see our special show on the 4th and 5th September and see it then! Tickets still available. Aberdeen Magical Society arrives on our stage in September with two massive shows packed full of magic, illusion, mind reading and escapology!

Not only are these spellbinding performances celebrating the Society's centenary, but all ticket proceeds go to the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign!

I've always liked scary films for their power to draw you into their story telling even if sometimes the plot is not all that great. I wish more media was able to capture that compelling horror essence across genres.

As a public speaker I often practice tongue twisters to ensure I speak as well as I can. Reputations can be ruined if you make an error.

Performed last night alongside fellow members during the Magic of the Mind night with . Managed to sneak some artwork into the gallery so I think I can now claim to have "exhibited" my artwork there 😅. You will have to wait for to host a full exhibit though...

In the meantime remember to get tickets for the Aberdeen Magical Society's centenary show !
