Our women brought it home last night! ⚽️

Now listen… I hate football.

But the husband was cooking tea (so I wasn’t moving), and the match was on in the background. Open-plan life means I basically watched it by accident.

At first, I was scrolling Shein (holiday coming soon) but then something shifted.

Second half. All grit. All heart.

They dug deep.
They didn’t give up.
No matter what Spain threw at them.

And it hit me...
You don’t have to love football to respect the fight.

Whether it’s football, business, or life.
Sometimes the win is just showing up and staying in it.

You forgot to take the chicken out the freezer.

So now tea’s a game of cupboard roulette.

Half a pepper, sad salad leaves, a tin of beans and pasta that’s been there since the school holidays.

You chuck it all together.

It fills the plate, but it’s not exactly MasterChef material.

That’s what most freebies look like.
A plate of “it’ll do.”

Thrown together.
Missing the tasty stuff that actually brings people in.

You created a freebie because that’s what you were told to do, right?

Add value.
Make it look good.
Pop it on a landing page and wait for the leads.

Except… they didn’t come.

You posted about it a few times.
Checked the numbers.
And now it’s just sitting there.

If you’re thinking,

The answer is..probably.

This was my dinner on Saturday.
Sizzling, bold, and impossible to ignore.

Yesterday was my mum’s birthday.

It’s been 18 years since she passed, and I still miss her just as much.

She was only four years older than I am now when she died.
I was 22, a new mum, still figuring it all out.

She always told me I could do anything I put my mind to.
To reach for the stars.

She went back to college in her 30s to study fashion design and seamstressing.
She made her own clothes. Started her own little business.
She was bold, loud, and never gave a s**t what anyone thought.

And now, every time I show up in business, raise my daughter, and do things my own way…

I know she’d be proud.

Spotted this in Manchester earlier this month and haven’t stopped thinking about it.

This week, it hit even harder.

Growth isn’t always big and loud.
Sometimes it’s the quiet decision to keep going.
To say yes.
To show up.
Even when you’re scared.

It’s not about blooming all the time.
It’s about trusting the part that comes before.

Today’s the day.

Tonight I’m heading to Padiham to speak at Mums in Business Burnley & Hyndburn.

My first ever in-person talk.
Equal parts excited and bricking it.

But I’m talking about something I love:
Showing up.
Standing out.
Staying visible.
Without burning out in the process.

Because when you’re running your own business, you’re juggling everything.

Client work.
Content.
Home life.
The internal pressure to do all the things.

And through it all, you still need to be seen.
Because no visibility = no clients.
Simple as that.

But it doesn’t have to feel so bloody hard.

When you build the right foundations.
When you focus on one thing at a time.
When you get people into your world with purpose...

You stop running in circles and start building momentum.

That’s what I’ll be sharing tonight.

You don’t need a Dolly clone.
And the megaphone is optional.

Because real visibility doesn’t come from noise.
It comes from clarity.
From confidence.
From knowing who the hell you are and what you want to say.
