I’m Liam - I live in the Lake District 🏔️ and share my hiking journeys across the fells — bagging Wainwrights ⛰️, exploring hidden tarns 💧, waterfalls 🌊 and more with my Nikon Zf 📸

Come explore the Lakeland fells with me in every season 🥾

⛰️Wainwright: 43 / 214

Armboth Fell is situated very remotedly amongst the high plateau that separates Borrowdale/Keswick and Thirlmere ⛰️

A quick trip southeast from High Tove, you can bag this wainwright by standing on the unique stone structure that sticks out, there is also a nearby elevated mound with a cairn on top to touch 📸

📍High Seat (608m / 1,995ft) 📸

One of my favourite Wainwrights for views across the central fells and over towards Keswick, Derwentwater and the northern fells. The whole walk from Armboth Fell, High Tove, High Seat and Bleaberry Fell was one of the most remote but beautiful walks I have experienced and will never forget ❤️‍🔥📸

Shoutout to the lovely young ladies who were kind enough to take me some photos at the trig point 🫶⛰️

📍Surprise Viewpoint, Keswick 📸

Another hidden gem along the edges of Derwentwater 💙 Surprise Viewpoint, alongside Raven Crag was one of the first “hotspot” locations I researched when looking for places to visit in the Lakes before I even moved here 🫶

The viewpoint offers one of the best panoramic views of Keswick and Derwentwater you can find - with prominent landmarks like Catbells, Whinlatter Forest, Bassenthwaite Lake, Dodd and the surrounding Northern Fells and much more ❤️‍🔥

P.S. there is a car park right next to the viewpoint that you can drive up to so you don’t have to walk 🫣😅

❌ NO Wainwrights bagged

🎭 Gemini season is here!

May has been a relatively quiet month for me in the Lakes. I have not bagged any new Wainwrights, but I have revisited certain locations like Fairfield and the shores of Lake Windermere 🥾

I have instead spent my time strengthening my relationships with my friends - quiet lakeside strolls, walking around the town of Ambleside and late evenings and nights out together ❤️‍🔥 Thank you to and for being such amazing people! I love you all 🫶

My camera has certainly enjoyed the outdoors this month and I have been finding myself out on many photoshoots with friends 👀

I have taken the time to enjoy the little heat-wave we experienced as well, doing the entire Fairfield Horseshoe with a stunning sunset on Nab Scar in 26+ degree heat was an absolute scorcher ❤️‍🔥

Bring on the month of June, there is much to look forward to next month with more plans for hiking with friends, late evening walks, birthday hike and potentially even a grade 1 scramble to be thrown in 📸❤️‍🔥🥾

📍Chinese Bridge, Derwentwater 📸

Walking the circular route around Derwentwater took me over the Chinese Bridge on the southern end of the walk 🥾

At this point in the day, there was little to no wind and provided some opportunities for more water reflection snaps 📸🪞💙

📍Derwentwater Reflections🪞

The entire circular walk around Derwentwater is one of the most splendid and beautiful lakeside strolls in the Lake District without question ❤️‍🔥💙

Walking along the shoreline near Catbells, Manesty & the Chinese Bridge offered some fantastic water reflections 📸🪞

📍Easedale Tarn Reflections🪞

My journey to High Raise back in March took me through the beautiful Easedale Tarn just outside of Grasmere 🥾

Easedale Tarn provided some beautiful reflections on the way back down from High Raise in the late hours of the evening, and I captured these beauties on the way down 📸

I am not one for nature photography, but I just had to take the opportunity to snap a couple of photos of this beauty 😍

📍Red Screes (776m / 2,546ft) ❤️‍🔥

I have visited Red Screes on several occassions and touched the trig point through sunny conditions, during golden hour and in the middle of darkness in a thick clag 🤣

Red Screes has to be one of my favourite Wainwrights and accessible mountain hikes near Ambleside, with stunning views of the Far Eastern Fells, The Fairfield Horseshoe, Lake Windermere and Brothers Water, with Angletarn Pikes as the backdrop! ❤️‍🔥
