VL-MX8 | 8-Channel 14.4v V-Lok Charger

Designed for professionals who demand charging without the bulk, the VL-MX8 offers a smart semi-sequential charging system: it charges four batteries at a time, then automatically switches to the next four. That means you can charge up to eight V-Lok batteries from a single, compact unit without needing to constantly monitor or rotate them.

The MX8 remains surprisingly compact and portable, making it ideal for on-set use or travel. With clearly labelled channels, individual charge LEDs, and a soft leather carry handle, it’s built to make your life easier.

It also features a regulated XLR power output for enabling regulated power out from mains in. The switch located on the rear of the unit allows users to switch between charging mode and power supply mode. When set to power supply, channels 1, 2, 5, and 6 stop charging and instead enable the regulated 4-pin XLR chassis output (5A max). Channels 3, 4, 7, and 8 continue to charge regardless of the switch position.

Power to the Blackmagic camera is supplied via a Mini V-Lok battery connected to an adaptor plate. Attached to this is one of our handy D-Tap extenders, which takes a single D-Tap output and splits it into four ports. This is especially useful when you’ve got multiple accessories to power.
