🌿 Did you know? Before you even enter the gates of Wildflowers, there’s a beautiful meadow waiting to be explored! 🌼

With newly planted fruit trees, lots of wildflowers and a home to so many beautiful creatures, it’s a little space full of nature and discovery.

It’s somewhere we’ll use for scavenger hunts, foraging, observing wildlife and simply taking the time to explore what nature has to offer. 🐝🌱🍎🦋

🍂 Our mud kitchen is coming to life! 🌿

Lots of our items have been kindly donated and given a new lease of life, ready for little hands to get messy, mix, create and explore.
I can’t wait for autumn when we can fill it with leaves, conkers, acorns, mud, sticks and all the seasonal treasures we find in the woodland. 🍁🤎
So many possibilities! ✨

🌿 A little cosy reading nook is taking shape… 📚🤎

This space is going to become our cosy woodland reading area — a quiet little spot tucked amongst the trees, where children can slow down,and get lost in a story.

I love the way the sunlight creates those beautiful nature shadows across this space. 🍃☀️

🌿 Observational drawing ✏️🍃

Using the world around us as inspiration and slowing down to really notice the little details.

We’re also creating our woodland spaces using recycled, donated and Facebook Marketplace finds — giving old items a new purpose and creating unique areas for children to play, explore and learn.
It doesn’t have to be new or expensive to be magical. 🤎🌿

Sometimes, the most unconventional spaces create the most magical learning opportunities. 🌿

A fallen tree becomes a mountain, a road, a bridge or anything a child’s imagination can dream up. 🚒🚑

That’s the beauty of outdoor, child-led play — nature provides the backdrop, and children create the story. 🤎

🐞🌿 Our Bug Hotel is ready! 🌿🐞

During our sessions, children will be able to help add to and develop the bug hotel, collecting natural materials and deciding what might make the perfect little home for our mini-beasts. 🐌🕷️🐞As we care learn and look after nature.

We can add sticks, bark, pinecones, leaves, bamboo, stones and other natural treasures we discover around the Nook. 🌿

It will be lovely to watch it grow over time and see who comes to visit! 🔎✨

A simple space for children to explore, investigate, create and care for the little creatures that share our outdoor space. 💚

There’s still lots to do, but the vision is finally starting to come together, and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s taking shape. 🤍
