The serene grounds of Nazareth House, Lude, came alive yesterday as the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of Ahiara Diocese, Mbaise, under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Mrs. Oby Angel Nnamocha, hosted their 2025 August Meeting.
The occasion was graciously chaired by Dr. Chijioke Kaduru, an accomplished public health expert and proud son of Obiangwu, Ngor Okpala LGA, Owerri Zone, who was accompanied by his highly respected parents, Chief and Lolo Ben Kaduru (Esv.).
The event began with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara, His Lordship Most Rev. Simon Okezuo Nwaobi, ably represented by the Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Godson Okoro, together with Fr. Celestine Ekennia (CWO Diocesan Chaplain) and other priests.
In his goodwill message, Dr. Kaduru spoke passionately about his admiration for women, encouraging them to continue in the strength of motherhood, stand firm in faith, and remain united in their prayers and support for one another. He humbly acknowledged the vital role his parents — especially his mother — played in shaping his life.
Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to women’s development and health, Dr. Kaduru extended generous support to the completion of the CWO Nazareth House and to the College of Nursing, Ogbe — projects that will continue to empower women and strengthen healthcare delivery in the Diocese.
In a heartfelt gesture, the CWO honored Chief and Lolo Ben Kaduru as a Unique Couple, offering special prayers in recognition of their inspiring example and enduring legacy.
