🦁 Why you should take the kids to Blackpool Zoo this summer
If you’re looking for something to do with the kids during the summer holidays, put Blackpool Zoo on the list.
There’s loads to see and do, from lions, tigers and giraffes to monkeys, elephants and penguins, and it’s the sort of day out where you can easily spend 4–5 hours exploring.
📍 Location: E Park Drive, Blackpool, FY3 8PP
⏰ Opening: From 10am daily, with closing times varying by date. During the summer, it’s generally around 5.45pm, with last admission 45 minutes before closing.
💷 Rough ticket prices: From around £21.99 per adult and £17.99 per child when booked online, with family tickets from £71.99. Under 3s go free. Prices vary depending on the date, so booking ahead is worth doing.
And if the kids still have energy after seeing all the animals, there’s also the Playbarn, which is open daily from 9.30am–5.45pm. During the summer VAT saving period, it’s £5.25 per child.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a proper family day out this summer, Blackpool Zoo is definitely worth a visit.
