Tales from places with dark, haunted, mysterious and macabre histories force us to look at the world differently while evoking disturbing emotional responses inside ourselves. If you enjoy spine tingles and having your hair stand on its ends, then you’ll feel right at home here. This blog strives to satiate the desire for entering forbidden locations haunted by the unexplained. Journey to places that strike fear into some and interest in others. Join me as I travel to some of the world’s most haunted hot spots in search of ghosts, ghouls and an understanding of dark pasts. As a child my interests were naturally peaked by anything most other children were afraid of. I’d spend too much time in front of the television watching horror movies about monsters that kept my peers awake at night. This lust for anything strange and spooky grew with me and a new found interest in travel. Since relocating from Australia to San Francisco I have blended these passions, travelling to and documenting my adventures to many haunted locations. Now I have created an online journal of detailed information other dark children may find appealing. I hope you will join me as I continue to explore the dark, curious and macabre history of the world, while looking for evidence of the paranormal. Rolling Hills Asylum is one of the most haunted places in New York State! Dating to the early 1800s and having functioned as a poor house, infirmary and nursing home throughout its life, this is a location with a lot of sad and dark history. Overtime many have claimed to have paranormal experiences here, ranging from interacting with ghost children to capturing 8ft tall shadow figures onto camera. 👻 😱 🖤

ARADALE ASYLUM CLOSED❗️❗️

We are devastated to announce that Aradale Asylum has been closed due to concerns relating to it's upkeep. We have, and will continue to, advocate for the maintenance of the heritage site. This is a loss for our guides. Our community. Our business partners. Our families. Our friends.... We won't give up, we've been through this before and survived 15 years of fighting to keep the asylum alive.
