📻 Barnsley’s Essentials is launching soon and it's going to be one big party🎉

Join Barnsley Civic for the very first Garden Gathering in Mandela Gardens on Sun 7 Sept, 11am–2pm.

Enjoy live music, street performers, crafts, games, and the unveiling of stunning new community artworks – plus be there as Barnsley’s brand-new local radio station Barnsley’s Essentials officially launches after a month of test broadcasts.

The Garden Gathering forms part of ‘Our Freedom: Then and Now’, a UK-wide, locally-led arts programme producing 60 new works exploring what ‘Our Freedom’ means to communities, commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE/VJ Day.

I'm back from 7am with another packed show.

Neil from Tykes TV is on giving us his preview of Barnsley Football Club's first home game of the season against Burton.

We look ahead to a special visitor at The Glass Works on Sunday.
