The winners of this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards have been revealed with Barnsley’s beautiful landscapes once again excelling. This year, 23 awards have been handed out to the area's parks, gardens, allotments and green spaces following judging earlier in the summer, including four new winners.

Amongst the Barnsley’s winners were three local groups who all should be extremely proud of their efforts namely:

Owd Martha’s Yard – Growing Your Community - Gold

Friends of Wombwell Park – RHS Its Your Neighbourhood - Level 4 – Thriving

Hoyland Common Community Garden – RHS Its Your Neighbourhood - Level 3 - Advancing

Congratulations to all who were presented with awards, a fantastic achievement.
