As January finally releases its grip and we inch closer to spring, we’re celebrating with something that genuinely fills our hearts with hope for the future.

Back in October, we ran our 2nd CGI Studio Workshop . The energy and excitement of that weekend has stayed with us ever since. ✨

Here’s why this matters: with 59 years still to go until we achieve gender parity behind the camera, there’s no time to waste. Our industry is changing and becoming more inclusive, but we need to accelerate that change.

Over two days, we gave 100+ girls their first hands-on experience with cameras, directing, sound recording and presenting - planting seeds for the next generation of technical production talent. We watched their confidence grow in real-time as they stepped up to try something new that felt exciting and ever so slightly scary!

We’re so proud of what we captured, and even prouder of every single participant who showed up with curiosity and enthusiasm. Many left already dreaming about careers behind the camera—exactly what we hoped for. 🙌

Working with the original, iconic, purpose-led brand, was an absolute dream. Sister Motion had the pleasure of creating their summer TikTok campaign for a European audience, and it was every bit as fun as it looked!

This project took us to beaches, bedrooms, festivals, and even the assault course . While much of the creative was dreamt up during a heatwave, the reality of filming was wetter and windier than we expected.

And it was a family affair. Nicky’s husband stepped in as a stuntman to surf, skateboard, and go down a waterslide, all while holding tubs of ice cream. Claire’s daughter was our hand model, and Nicky found herself cycling tubs of Ben & Jerry’s around a London park on a Lime bike with a basket full of ice.

These are the kinds of projects we live for at Sister Motion. We love helping brands encapsulate their unique DNA in short, shareable content - and if we get to eat 24 tubs of ice cream in the process, then ever better!

We have been so busy making content for other people's social feeds that we have not had a second to post ourselves. 😮‍💨​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We have a ton of new work in final stage post production. From brand animation to the gorgeous film that captures all the action of our filmmaking workshop at The Festival of the Girl, please keep checking our feed over the coming weeks as they drop.

Tomorrow is the Sister Motion x Studio Workshop at the

We will be running hands-on, practical taster sessions in our pop up studio for girls aged 7 -11 across the weekend. They can try camera operating, sound recording, editing and reporting under the care and guidance of the Sister Motion crew.

It will take another 61 years to reach gender parity in the screen industries in the UK, so an activity like this is vital to inspire more girls to consider production as a career.

Get ready for two days packed with creativity, inspiration, and empowerment. 💪🏽

At Sister Motion, we strive to work with clients who present courageous values, share our drive to challenge stereotypes and produce content that helps build a more tolerant and fairer society.

Last week, we worked on an incredible project in Newcastle, filming for and and their client Nurofen.

We spoke to many women whose pain had been dismissed, overlooked and misdiagnosed next to a massive pill packet as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the gender pain gap. This real and severe issue refers to the systemic difference in how pain is perceived, treated, and managed in women compared to men.

We look forward to these films being released and driving positive change around women’s health.
