🌟 A visit to Ulverston is always worthwhile! I'm currently enjoying a peaceful moment outdoors with a delicious coffee. What makes this experience even more meaningful is knowing that every purchase—whether it’s a coffee, a slice of cake, or any item—contributes to the St Mary's Hospice.

🌅 Another day begins at the Holiday Inn Express, Barrow-in-Furness & South Lakes. I was greeted by Kris and the marathon man aka Ryan who wasn’t rushing around as much today. I had a small breakfast of one sausage, one bacon and one hash brown due to my restrictions on food this morning as I have appointments coming up today.

I was also greeted by the lovely Gail who was running around clearing tables and ensuring everyone was ok.

The holiday inn is a large building and Ryan reckons he can run around the perimeter faster than a toupee in a hurricane. Not that Ryan wears one.

As for my day today. Treatment day and will tire me out and tomorrow back in the radio doing what I do live from midday. Looking forward to that.

Meanwhile get yourself in the holiday in between 10am and 4pm and buy a discounted cofee. Where else when you get a tea or a coffee for £2.50 and know that part of what you pay goes to local charities. The holiday inn have raised tens of thousands in the past so it’s well worth calling in for a drink knowing you are helping out local charities. ☕❤️

This morning, I was back at the Holiday Inn Express, Barrow-in-Furness & South Lakes,for the first time in a few weeks, and it was great to see the busy atmosphere. There was a coach party in from Southern Ireland, and I enjoyed chatting with them. It was nice to help out some guests who were unsure how to use the coffee machine and the toaster. I love being able to give something back to society!

After clearing a table for one family, I treated myself to a small breakfast which was absolutely lovely!

A big shout out to Gail and Ryan, who were both a whirlwind of activity, making sure everyone was catered for. No wonder Ryan runs marathons; he’s always on the move around the hotel!

If you’re passing the hotel, feel free to pop in for a meal or a drink—everyone’s welcome and it helps raise money for St Mary's Hospice.

Finally made it to the studio after a morning of trying to sort myself out after slipping in the shower. On the radio till 3pm. Looking at my playlist I’ve got some great tunes and chat lined up.
