The likelihood of rain overnight into Saturday 19th July 2025 is around 50% but unfortunately things don't improve from then on. By 6 am we're at a 65% probability of getting wet and we hover around that likelihood until about 10 am when we rapidly rise to 80%. Any rain is likely to be heavy as well. We stay at an 80% chance until 6 pm when we gradually improve the probability of staying dry. By 10 pm we're almost 100% likely to be dry and under those drier and clearer conditions we leave Saturday behind.
For the whole of the daylight hours we will have dark clouds interspersed with sunny intervals. We could see sunshine at any point. We could also see thunder and lightning at various points of the day. Most specifically the probability of a storm is greatest at 7 am, 10 am to noon, 2 pm, 4 pm to 8 pm and one final threat at 9 pm.
Once again the winds are light, a maximum of 5 mph according to the BBC. They are also coming from the Southerly and Easterly directions, which makes sense as Yorkshire was threatened with storms yesterday, so it's our turn to have that weather front today. For me they could keep it though.
Visibility is mostly Moderate, improving to Good when the clouds lighten and the rain diminishes. Pollen is Low, as is Pollution. UV is Moderate and Humidity is very High all day. It is well above 90% both early in the morning and late in the evening and at night. During the day it never gets below 85%.
We're unlikely to have a sticky day though because the top temperature is due to be 20° and that in the early evening. For most of the day it will top out at 19° from the absolute lowest point of 15°. Too cool for the really unpleasant stickiness that high humidity brings with it.
It's not going to be one of our nicest Saturdays unfortunately Pendle people. I hope you all manage to stay dry and have a lovely day anyway. I already know I'm going to get wet as I have to be out and about. It's raincoat time for me!
