After 20+ years in the industry, I'm finally carving out a little digital space for Sprand. I've built my business on word-of-mouth, long-term trust and knowing when to speak up (and when to stay quiet).

This page isn't about shouting the loudest. It's about showing what good PR actually looks like.

I’m very aware that while I work very hard on my clients’ social media, I neglect my own. Lockdown was meant to be a time I changed that - but I’ve still not found that spare minute. Every June for the past 7 years, I’ve spent two days at the beautiful Ally Pally for the ABTT theatre show. This year however things are very different but I feel very proud to work in an industry that is striving to find a sensible way through the crisis. I’d normally have worked with David Thomas of Picnic Films to produce a showcase video of Unusual Rigging’s work which would form the backdrop of their stand at the show. So this year, I wanted to share the showreel here and reiterate how privileged I feel to work with such amazing people.

2020 is starting with an exciting new client for Sprand Communications. The Working Dream https://www.theworkingdream.com/ works with women all over the world to overcome the barriers of unmanaged Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder (ADHD). This is a new area for Sprand Communications but my experience working with organisations within HR/ Employment and Coaching spans several years, working with the likes of Pitman Training, Lane4 and Sirota Survey Intelligence. Welcome on board The Working Dream!

This is something we do every year - the best bit is speaking directly to their customers and understanding just how important a role they play on all the projects they're a part of.

Here's one of the projects that's been keeping us occupied. It's an absolute pleasure working with the team at Unusual Rigging. We know they do some amazing (and unusual) things, but putting it all together in the annual show-reel is a real "WOW" moment.

Happy Birthday to us! Sprand Communications is one year old today. First press release of the year already written! Here's to another successful year for us and all our clients including Doughty Engineering Ltd, BroadWeigh, Unusual Rigging & Engineering LLC, Rope Assemblies.

I love writing...I’d do it all day every day if I could. So when the opportunity arises to ghost-write some articles for a client, BroadWeigh for some of the biggest magazines in their industry - TPi and Technologies For Worship Magazine, it never feels like work. Happy clients - happy me!

This amazing video shows my clients Unusual Rigging doing what they do best - coming together with a great team of collaborators, working to raise mental health awareness. They built the head in four sections, transported it along the Thames, then assembled the sculpture designed by Steuart Padwick at Gabriel's Wharf. This film is currently being shown at independent cinemas across the UK.
