SSTP HASSO in northern france 🇫🇷 was a munitions depot for the german navy known as the kriegsmarine. Storing torpedos and sea mines in huge galleries underground with a direct train line to the sea at boulogne sur mer . Originally there were over 40 galleries but after heavy bombing from the allies only 12 remain intact . Here I show you 2 of the 12 both heavily battle damaged and one of them falling apart after a bomb seemed to pe*****te the roof lining .

"Blucher and bonte"
Two of a selection of troop accommodation bunkers hidden in the woods in northern france . These would have housed the troops while they rested in shifts after operating the huge kurfurst guns situated in the surrounding gun battery . Each shelter had its name above the main entrance and inside had many features and amazing drawings . I'd like your views on the drawings . Two are definatley german soldiers but the other two I'm a bit unsure .

One of four huge casemate bunkers built to house massive 15" guns capable of firing over 34 miles straight towards the English coast . This thing was collosal and built to last but unfortunately like many places has suffered from mindless vandals with no appreciation for history . All the N**i symbols have been sprayed over and most of the artwork destroyed with the writing barely readable now . Still an incredible place to see with my own eyes and to see whats left behind . One of the bunkers is now a museum and well worth a visit another one is completely destroyed and another sealed up tight for bat protection . fans Olight UK

"LEOPOLD"
Built in Essen Germany leopold is one of only 2 of this type of german railway gun believed to be left from the second world war . One situated here in france and the other is somewhere in the states . The British have one of theirs sat at Fort Nelson in Portsmouth now known as the royal armouries museum . The massive gun had a range of approximately 40 miles and had an 11.1 inch calibre. Its round weighed around 250kg and would be on small transportation carts and then craned onto the weapon at the back .

WW2 bunker on the Atlantik wall with many original features inside including flowery wallpaper which I have seen before in these bunkers . I almost missed two very faded drawings of ww2 soldiers on my first time round only noticing when I was going back taking photos . I will put photos of them in the comments . fans Olight UK

Why do people have to destroy these historic places ? I understand that the symbol isn't for everyone and obviously should be frowned upon but its history that needs to be remembered.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it " George Santayana 1905

The drawing depicts the luftwaffe flying towards Britain with the kriegsmarine flag flying alongside . The writing means Against England

Bare untouched walls are such a pleasure to see on these old german bunkers . Not a single bit of rubbish graffiti anywhere inside this bunker

Hidden inside this decoy house in Croatia is a huge fuel tank for aviation fuel once used by the military airbase a stones throw away . Now left to decay in a farmers sheep field they could easily be mistaken for simple abandoned houses . There are four in total all identical inside and a central pumping station linking them all .
