NI Tourism Board Head Robert Hall's Interview in 1974 Belfast - Hall had one of the most difficult marketing jobs in the world in the 1970s and 1980 but led the NITB professionally and efficiently, often touring the world to try and sell the country to the best of his abilities. He personally designed the US Heritage Trail and even managed to push annual visitors to 728,000 people by the early 1980s, I feast seen as impossible to many. The situation he worked under is a far Cry from modern Belfast and the multitudes of tourists who visit our wonderful city every year.

The incredible closing out the 2026 yesterday at city hall. Big shout out to the wonderful media team at for the lovely chats and fun this week, and for giving us media passes as always to capture the week's actions. Everyone involved in the Fleadh at every level did such an amazing job and should be proud!💚🪉☘️

Belfast, you've held your head high this week and hosted the biggest Fleadh Cheoil of all time! I am so proud of the city I love so much, after everything we've been through over the years we've shown the world what we are all about!

The music, the culture, the love, the streets were the most alive I've ever seen them. I genuinely got emotional a few times this week finally seeing us shine! This is the best thing that has ever happened to my city, here's to the Fleadh and here's to the people of Belfast, and every single person involved in organising this wonderful event, roll on next year!
