Some weeks serious.
Some weeks ridiculous.
Probably both within the same ten minutes.

documented facts where we can find them
speculation clearly separated from fact
audience interaction
disagreement
rabbit holes
and mild chaos

Basically:

Two reasonably informed Karens asking questions people would rather avoid.

We won’t always agree.
We won’t always get it right.
But we’ll try to be fair, curious and willing to change our minds when the evidence demands it.

Guy Anderson and I have decided to take what we’ve been doing on Food for thought radio and give it a home of its own.

THE INQUIRY

Starting next Thursday at 7pm, we’ll be LIVE on Guy Anderson’s channel every Thursday through to the end of October.

Then from November, same day, same time —Thursdays at 7pm The Inquiry moves across to The Belfast Bapcast for the month.

After that we’ll continue month about, so both channels grow together rather than us spending our time building someone else’s audience.

The format is deliberately loose

Proper research
Interesting subjects
Genuine disagreement
Difficult questions
And enough humour to prevent either of us developing an unbearable sense of our own importance.

Guy will naturally be bringing the meticulous research, measured delivery and professionalism.

I, somewhat unexpectedly, will apparently be responsible for restraint, moderation and maintaining a mild public image.

So things are already looking precarious😂

The point isn’t for us to agree
In fact, we regularly don’t.

It’s two mates with very different approaches looking at something properly, challenging each other, following the evidence and occasionally derailing the entire investigation through unnecessary tomfoolery.
