Just In: “Until Nnamdi Kanu Is Released, Nigeria Will Not Know Peace” — Sultan of Sokoto Reportedly Says
The Sultan of Sokoto has reportedly called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, warning that Nigeria may continue to face deep instability until the issue surrounding his detention is resolved.
According to sources familiar with the remarks, the Sultan was quoted as saying, “Until Nnamdi Kanu is released, nothing will truly work in Nigeria. Dialogue and justice are essential if the country is to move forward.”
He further emphasized that the continued detention of Kanu has become a symbol of wider grievances in the South-East, adding, “Release Nnamdi Kanu, and Nigeria will begin the journey toward freedom and unity.”
