💥 Muggerz 💥

Capitalising on cruising fish just got a lot easier thanks to our brand new Muggerz hookbaits! Yes - standard hard pellets do work for mugging but they sink quickly and you often miss the opportunity of catching the carp's eye if you flick out your rig too early. This is where Muggerz can be utilised!

Unlike our standard Durables recipe, Muggerz are designed to be critically balanced in the water and sink slowly under the weight of the hook. This means you can give cruising carp more time to intercept your bait when mugging is the score for the day.

Available in red, black and white fishmeal flavours and 6mm and 8mm mixed pot sizes. You can either hook them direct or for the best presentation, use a Quickstop!

💥 TIP OF THE WEEK 💥

Q: "Now the fish are coming into the margins more, what determines whether my groundbait should be fed loose, sloppy, balled, neat, with particles, with maggots or not at all?"

🗨 Rob Wootton says: "For all my margin work I love a heavy groundbait and by that I mean a groundbait with larger particles that can be mixed with a lot of water to help them sink quicker. My favourite groundbait for the edge at the minute is Swim Stim Betaine Green Feeder mix as it has larger particles than the original Swim Stim and you can mix this groundbait with lots of water to make it very heavy.

As for how I like to feed the groundbait, I think it depends on the venue and also the clarity of the water. If the water is particularly clear I will sometimes feed the groundbait overwetted so it forms a slight cloud as it falls. For the majority of my margin work though I think feeding the groundbait loose in a pole pot is the way to go.

As for hookbaits to compliment the groundbait, dead maggots are the obvious option but if small fish are a problem, sweetcorn is a fantastic bait to feed and also use on the hook."
