Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam, a British-Pakistani originally from Mirpur, sold all five of his UK properties, his life’s savings, to build 35 schools in earthquake-affected areas of Azad Kashmir.

After witnessing children still studying in the open nearly two decades after the 2005 earthquake, he was moved to act.

Partnering with Muslim Charity UK, Aslam dedicated his resources to restore education facilities in remote villages, ensuring children have proper classrooms and a brighter future.

Dardanelles Gun is a Ottoman super-sized bombard built in 1464 by Munir Ali and modelled after the Orban bombard that was used for the Ottoman besiegers of Constantinople in 1453. In 1807, the gun was still in use against the failed Dardanelles Operation by the British Royal Navy.
