I have just been labelled as racist for creating this page.
Being labelled “Islamophobic” for creating this page completely misses the point.
This page simply lists Halal slaughterhouses operating in the UK. It is factual information, openly available, organised in one place for public awareness. There is no abuse, no harassment, no targeting of individuals — just transparency.
A phobia is defined as an irrational, excessive, and persistent fear of something that poses little or no real danger. Wanting to understand changes happening within our country, asking questions about them, or discussing their wider cultural and social impact is not irrational. It is part of living in a free and open society.
People are allowed to have concerns. People are allowed to gather information. People are allowed to discuss how societal changes may affect traditions, standards, animal welfare views, consumer choice, or what they personally value as part of their way of life.
Disagreement is not hatred. Awareness is not fear. Information is not bigotry.
If we want a healthy society, we need more open conversation — not less. We need the ability to share facts without being instantly labelled or shut down. Respect goes both ways 🤝
This page exists to inform. What people do with that information is up to them.
