On the sound side this week we're excited to be taking part in the Ludum Dare 50 videogame making competition this weekend. It'll be a full push pace wise to build in only 72 hours with a team of around 10 but we love the thrill of these events and a bit of pressures good for all of us! Often in production, especially for events the need to work with the real world conditions of what's going on around requires a lot of hard work and a bit of ingenuity along the way to make it the best it can possibly be, which is something we love getting involved in and constant skill development.

"Exciting week ahead with the start of the Ludum Dare 50 this weekend ! For those that haven't heard of it, its a 72hr competition to produce a videogame from scratch! I'll be in charge of the SFX creation for the player characters, world characters and environment, excitingly with a team of around 10 in Argentina this time round! If you want to see the difference in immersiveness of the addition of sound design to imagery, flick the mute button on and off whilst watching different parts and see how much the ambience changes.

Audio is such a huge part of our emotional connection to imagery and gets to experiment with the creative depths of the objects and environments in ways that just can't be done with visuals alone and can be just as, if not more, memorable than the images themselves!
