Sometimes God speaks in whispers… and obedience makes all the difference.

Last year in August, while preparing for a seminar presentation, I kept asking God for His direction and leading.
Suddenly—boom 💥💥—a word dropped into my heart: ERGONOMIC.

I had never seen the word before. I had never heard it. I didn’t even know the meaning. Yet, for no obvious reason, it kept returning to my mind. I tried to ignore it. I didn’t want to get distracted. Still, I couldn’t sleep. The prompting was persistent—search for the meaning—but I resisted.

The next day, I got to school ready for my presentation, but there was an unexpected delay. Reluctantly, I picked up my phone and searched for the meaning of the word.
Fast-forward to my presentation—it went well, all to the glory of God. My supervisor praised me and then said,
“I will only score you if you can tell me the meaning of this word: ERGONOMIC.”
In that moment, everything became clear. I knew exactly why my Helper—the Holy Spirit—had been nudging my heart all along.

That day, I learned a powerful lesson:
Sometimes, as children of God, we do not fail because God didn’t show up for us. We fail because we didn’t listen to His instructions.
God speaks. He leads. He prepares us ahead of time. But obedience is what unlocks the help He has already released.

May we become more sensitive to His voice and quicker to obey—because our next breakthrough may be hidden in the instruction we are tempted to ignore. 🙏✨

You will enjoy favour before God and men.
