NEW EPISODE >> The Mrs Barbara Nice & Friends Podcast

This week, welcomed the fearless and sharp comedian .

You'll know her from Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and she got rave reviews for her Edinburgh set this year.

Ria explains to Barbara that she quite enjoyed lockdown times and that she spent years putting off touring (because, let’s face it, the road takes it out of you) but she’s back now with her “Riabellion” tour.

She’ll be at The Glee Club, Birmingham on Sunday 19 October 2025.

TODAY at 2pm (UK Time) >> Speakeasy with Susie

Tune in today at 2pm as Susie is joined by Tan Rosie Foods!

Tan Rosie was a beloved community figure, inspiring her granddaughter Monica to name the business in her honor. In the Caribbean, “Tan” is an affectionate term for “Aunt,” making Tan Rosie both a tribute to family roots and the love she inspired.

Monica’s lifelong passion for food stems from family recipes, cookery shows, and countless gatherings. Since moving to England in the 1960s, she has blended her Caribbean heritage with other cuisines, creating unique dishes that celebrate the flavors of home.

Her daughter Lee grew up savoring Monica’s cooking and later brought her design expertise from an international career into the brand. Together, they built Tan Rosie, uniting traditional Caribbean recipes with modern creativity to share their heritage through distinctive food products.

TRACK OF THE WEEK >> Made of Sand by Alice Mia

Inspired by Motown, ‘Made of Sand’ explores the feeling of unpredictability of daily life with high functioning autism and not knowing what level of support you need as it changes day to day. And the chorus line ‘one minute it’s fine then I collapse like a castle made of sand’ relates to sudden overstimulation from her environment! “Music is so therapeutic for me and often helps me release difficult emotions!”

All instruments played by Alice Mia. Writing, Production and Mixing also by Alice Mia.

NEW EPISODE >> The Mrs Barbara Nice & Friends Podcast

This week, welcomed the brilliant into the shed.

Daliso was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, and he’s since appeared on QI, Have I Got News For You, The Royal Variety Performance, The News Quiz, and more. His stand-up clips have racked up over 300 million views online, and his BBC Radio 4 series Citizen of Nowhere was nominated for a Rose d’Or Award. He’s performed at major comedy festivals worldwide and is now touring the UK with his brand-new show Feed This Black Man Again.

The pair dive into conversations about shopping (including the maximum age for shoplifting), almost getting arrested in Malawi (Daliso, not Barbara) and the importance of saying yes to everything (although Daliso drew the line at Bargain Hunt).
