TRACK OF THE WEEK >> All I Need by LORENKA

Releasing on all major streaming platforms on the 24th October, this track is a compelling second single for Birmingham-based alt-rock artist Lorenka. 'All I Need' is a sad but powerful song about battling mental health and the struggles of asking for help when you need it.

It blends introspective lyrics with a soaring, Paramore-inspired sound, with a chorus that explodes with a belting line. It is a song for anyone who's ever felt lost in their own head, promoting that asking for help doesn't make you weak, but human.

TRACK OF THE WEEK >> Icy Fingers by Charm

“Icy Fingers” explores a psychedelic experience gone wrong, blending dark themes with a hypnotic groove and slide guitar. Drawing comparisons to early-’90s The Charlatans, the track builds to a cathartic, guitar-fuelled finale that captures the intensity and energy of Charm’s live sound.

Charm are a British band rising fast in the UK music scene with their psychedelic, rock-infused sound. Having earned airplay on BBC Introducing and Radio X, and performed at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, the band continue to evolve their sound — with their latest work taking on a rawer, guitar-driven edge compared to earlier releases like “So Unknown.”

There's talk of the Peaky Blinders, and none of it is anything like you see on TV.
