As we approach the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II Commonwealth War Graves Commission are sharing some fascinating life stories of commonwealth soldiers' achievements.

As we approach VJ day, we are sharing over 80 stories for the 80 years since the end of the Second World War.

Karamjeet’s military career began with his commission as an infantry subaltern at Ambala. He was quickly assigned to the 4th Battalion of the 15th Punjab Regiment (4/15th) as the Allies prepared for the march on Rangoon.

During the subsequent fighting to capture the important railway junction at Meiktila, Karamjeet performed the actions that saw him posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross: Britain’s highest military medal for gallantry.

Congratulations to all on the creation day of the Khalsa Panth from the Mann Jitt organisation. We also express our gratitude to the blessed father of Kalgidhar Dasmesh Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who created the Khalsa Panth and taught the lesson of "Manas Ki Zaat Sabhai Eko Pahchanvo" while giving the concept of "Live and Let Live" to humanity.
