This spot, just 20 minutes from Dudley town, has been on my list since June!!

After a little break from posting and a pause on our adventures, me and my little partner in crime are finally back out exploring! And what a peaceful little spot to return to.

Beautiful countryside views, with planes taking off from Halfpenny Green Airport in the distance. I had a Strawberry Split smoothie, which was SO good, while little miss enjoyed some lunch.

And the best part? I actually got to enjoy my smoothie in peace. A lovely little pit stop!

Oh, and dogs are allowed both inside and outside too, which is always a bonus with a groomers onsite too!!

Have you discovered this Warwickshire gem?

There’s so many unique events to experience, making it a brilliant option for a family day out especially if you’re looking for something a little different.

The Luminarium was such a beautiful experience, and with it here until 31st August, it’s the perfect excuse for one last summer adventure.

We loved exploring the galleries, discovering all the interactive areas for the children, grabbing a tea and bite to eat in the café, and wandering around the beautiful grounds.

And the woodland play area was a lovely touch!

One last adventure in Worcester?

We absolutely loved the Dragon Quest at Spetchley Park Gardens! The gardens are so beautiful and the trail was such a lovely experience for all ages. 🌿✨

There’s a café on site, and the kids get a prize at the end of the quest from the cafe.

It’s only on until 30th August, it’s very beautiful so don’t forget to book in the family ticket.

If you’re just bringing the kids along and want to sit back and watch them have fun, you only pay for the people who are doing LEGO. 🙌

Looking for a budget friendly family day out? Cannock Chase has loads to do The Gruffalo & Room on the Broom trails, play areas, picnics, bike hire and Go Ape!

The Room on the Broom trail bag is £4, but you can just walk the trail without it. We’ve read the books so much recently I basically recited both stories as we walked 😂

I’ve done here twice and highly recommend it seeing it again has made me want to do it all over again! 🌳🙌 I’m yet to try the bike hire, but it’s definitely on my list as I’ve wanted a bike again for so long!

Take a picnic or grab something there just remember parking costs apply depending on how long you stay.

Definitely one to save for a fun day out without spending a fortune!

The food was amazing, the cocktails were so good, but honestly, it was the little touches that made me love Temper & Brown. 🤎

The grilled boneless jerk chicken thighs were SO good, the chicken tenders were crispy and delicious, and the Trini doubles hell yesss! And of course, the burger was so dirty but SO good😍

Everything we ordered was honestly delicious the menu definitely won’t disappoint!

And the little details - Blankets outside, books for a solo self care date, games for date nights or catch ups, and the decor?! So beautiful. I loved seeing family and local pictures around the pub too it makes the whole place feel so personal and welcoming.

Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out!

Bridgnorth Annual Burwarton Show

If you’re looking for something a little different to do with the kids, put the Bridgnorth Show on your list! It’s a brilliant family day out and gives you the chance to experience countryside and agricultural life up close something you don’t get to see every day.

There’s so much to see and do that we genuinely didn’t get around everything! We spent so much time enjoying the shows that we missed one whole section. 😂 Burwarton Show

The kids can:
🐄 Get up close to and learn about different animals
🚜 Explore tractors, vintage tractors & agricultural machinery
🎡 Enjoy funfair rides
🛝 Play areas
🏆 Watch competitions and live shows
🌾 Learn more about farming and countryside life
✨And enjoy the appearance like West Midlands Ambulance service and The Red Arrows

And one of the best bits for families children under 12 go FREE! 🙌

We had such a lovely day and I’d definitely recommend adding this one to your Summer 2027 bucket list. It’s that show that gets bigger and better every year and it’s perfect for all ages!

Honestly, I had no idea this was here! Such a fun little family activity and a great one to add to your half term plans.

You can turn up without booking, enjoy a round of dinosaur themed mini golf, and you also get 20 balls to have a go on the driving range which I thought was such a great extra and my daughter loved it.

If you’re looking for something a little different to do with the kids, this is definitely one to add to your list.
