After a few days of silence, it’s time to fill you in on Day 73 & 74 — the calm before everything turned upside down. 🌍

My anxiety was spiking as I set off into the unknown with no money, limited supplies, and no clue what the next few days would bring. Every step felt uncertain… but I kept moving forward.

Sometimes the journey isn’t about having it all figured out — it’s about traveling on a prayer and trusting that the next step will reveal itself. 🙏

Days 70–72 🌍🚴‍♂️
The past three days have been a rollercoaster — a mix of struggle, kindness, and moments of magic.

Day 70 began in the stillness of the desert, and soon my heart was full from the kindness of strangers. Cars turned around just to greet me. People waved me down for tea, gave me water, food, offers of accommodation — even help with anything I might need. As the heat rose, I found shade under a lone thorn tree before pressing on.

Day 71 tested me both physically and mentally. I reminded myself to be kind to my body and mind… to take more breaks… and to keep moving forward, even if slowly. Once again, the generosity of strangers gave me strength. And just when I thought the day was over, the Sahara gifted me an unforgettable sunset, camping solo under its vast skies.

Day 72 started well — until the wind arrived. By 10am, it was blowing hard, growing stronger until I simply couldn’t fight it anymore. After five long hours seeking shelter, a kind gentleman appeared. He refused to leave me behind, packed my bike into his vehicle, and drove me to Nouakchott. It was the right call, and I’m deeply grateful.

Three days. Countless challenges. Endless kindness. These moments remind me why I’m on this journey — proof that humanity’s heart beats strongest in the most unexpected places. ❤️

Day 71 🚴‍♂️☀️
Today was tough — both physically and mentally. A reminder to be kind to myself… take more breaks… and keep moving forward, even if it’s slow. 🐢➡️🏁

Once again, the kindness and generosity of people I met was humbling. It gave me the strength I needed to push on. I can’t beat the elements, but I can learn to move with them.

And after a challenging day, the reward was pure magic — a breathtaking sunset, camping alone in the vast Sahara. Moments like this make every struggle worth it. 🌅🏜️

Day 70 🌍☀️
Due to lack of connectivity I am 3 days behind, so more to come.

What a day! It began in the quiet stillness of the desert, and soon my heart was full from the kindness of strangers. 🚶‍♂️✨

Cars turned around just to greet me. People waved me down for tea. I was given water, food, offers of accommodation, and help with anything I might need. The generosity was overwhelming — sometimes it’s hard to believe and accept just how good people can be. ❤️

As the heat rose, I found shade under a lone thorn tree 🌳 before pressing on. Today reminded me that even in the most remote places, kindness finds you.

Day 69 – 4,840km Behind Me
What a ride. Today gave me both the high and the low in one long, unforgettable stretch.
Started in the dark with a tailwind at my back — it felt magical, almost like the road wanted me to win.

Then came the Mauritanian border… chaotic, rough, and a reminder that not all roads are smooth.
After that, the desert turned brutal. The wind shifted. Sand everywhere. It stung my skin and spirit.
Tonight I’m in a run-down hotel — no luxury here, but I’m too tired to care.

Some days are a test. Today, I passed — barely. But I’m still going.

Desert Drama ⛈️🌩️

At 9pm, the skies opened up—thunder, lightning, and a brief burst of rain. It lasted just 20 minutes, but what a show! Morocco knows how to do storms in style. ⚡🇲🇦

Visa Approved ✅ | Back on the Road! 🚴🏿‍♂️

After 7 unexpected days stuck in Bir Gandouz, my visa has finally come through! I’m excited to be back on my bicycle and continuing the Unspoken to Unbroken journey.

While I waited, I made the most of my time at Hotel Barbas—highly recommend it if you’re passing through. Hassan was a real gem. DM me if you want his number—he’s super helpful 🙌🏿

And today’s lunch? A hearty bowl of Moroccan Lentils—flavourful, comforting, and full of soul. 😋 Want to try it yourself? Check out this video recipe I found: [ https://share.google/L4QUAxP5SfF1pc8te ].
