🔴 NEWS / Damso interrogates Tshisekedi — “Congo no longer needs promises”

Belgian-Congolese rapper Damso caused a wave of shock on social media over the weekend, after sending a poignant message to President Felix Tshisekedi via his Instagram account. Usually reserved for political issues, the artist chose this time to break the silence to express his deep disillusionment with the situation in Congo.

“The Congo no longer needs promises, but honest, fair and determined governance.” There is still time to restore faith to the people before hope dies forever - for our martyrs, for our mothers, for our children, for the soul of the Congo. »

These words, imprinted with gravity and emotion, translate a general struggle in the face of decades of instability, corruption and violence, particularly in the east of the country. At 33 years old, Damso entrusts the disenchantment of an entire generation:

“Actually, we are tired... I came into this world 33 years ago and nothing has changed. This is worse than before. »
