Five men have pleaded guilty to serious organised crime offences after Police Scotland uncovered a £4 million co***ne trafficking and money laundering operation linked to a major covert investigation in Glasgow.

Authorities seized large quantities of cash, co***ne and evidence of an organised criminal network operating across Scotland. Among the discoveries were £207,270 hidden in bags inside a vehicle, £101,000 recovered from a Glasgow flat, and co***ne with an estimated street value of £1.5 million.

The men have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced next month. Investigators say the case highlights the scale of organised crime and the ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supply networks and criminal finances across the country.

The Home Office says 65% of all attempted small boat crossings were prevented in May through joint UK-France operations, despite warmer weather traditionally leading to an increase in Channel crossings.

According to the latest figures, more attempted crossings were disrupted than successfully completed during the month. Officials say this builds on more than 44,000 crossing attempts prevented since July 2024 through intelligence sharing, surveillance and coordinated enforcement activity.

The figures are likely to reignite debate over border security, immigration policy and the effectiveness of international cooperation in tackling people-smuggling networks operating across the English Channel.

Supporters argue the numbers demonstrate progress in reducing dangerous crossings, while critics continue to question whether current measures are sufficient to address the wider migration challenge.

What do you think — are current border policies working?

PM Starmer announces Social Media Ban for under 16s in the UK, but the question is, how will they Govern this?

14/06/2026

Peter Kyle backs Keir Starmer's defence plan — despite admitting he hasn't seen all of it. As ministers resign over defence funding, Labour asks the public to trust a plan some of its own defenders haven't fully read. The support is diabolical wouldn't you say?

The rise to “severe” is not a call for panic, but it is a call for awareness. Hate‑motivated violence affects everyone, regardless of background, and the government is expected to outline further protective measures in the coming days. For now, the message is consistent: stay informed, stay connected, and stay alert. In times of uncertainty, collective vigilance becomes one of the strongest tools a society has...more in bio

🚨BE REMINDED🚨:

The United Kingdom has entered a new phase of heightened alert after the national terror threat level was raised to severe, following another attack targeting members of the Jewish community. Officials say the escalation reflects a broader pattern of hate‑driven incidents, and the decision underscores the reality that extremism does not remain confined to one group or one postcode. For many, it is a sobering reminder that the country’s security landscape has shifted, and that vigilance is no longer optional.

Reports indicate that a man was attacked after allegedly burning the Qur'an in public.

Fear for public safety continues to rise after reports that a man attacked another man following the public burning of the Qur'an.

The incident has reignited debate over free speech, religious tensions, and whether authorities are doing enough to prevent violence before it happens.

As communities grow increasingly divided, many are asking the same question: Are these isolated incidents—or warning signs of deeper societal fractures?

Britain is failing women and girls.

This is not simply a story about individual crimes. It is a story about complicity — complicity in a culture where girls are expected to endure, stay silent, and move on. Complicity in a system where male violence is too often treated as unfortunate rather than unforgivable. Complicity in a country where institutions, from the Metropolitan Police to the courts, repeatedly demonstrate that women's safety is not a priority but an afterthought.

The most disturbing aspect of this case is that the victims were children. Their attackers were children. Yet only one group appears to have been protected. Only one group has been cushioned from consequences. Only one group has been told their future matters.

And that is the real scandal.

When institutions focus more on safeguarding perpetrators than delivering justice for victims, they send a devastating message to every girl in Britain: your pain is negotiable, your safety is secondary, and your future is less important than protecting those who harm you.

A society should be judged by how it protects its most vulnerable. By that measure, Britain faces serious questions about whether it is truly a safe place for women and young girls.

Because if the country continues down this path, the message to girls becomes devastatingly clear:

You are on your own.

A new report into the UK's grooming gang scandals has reignited questions about how vulnerable girls were failed for years.

The inquiry heard evidence from survivors who described being ignored, dismissed, and repeatedly let down by authorities. Critics argue that police, social services, and local officials were too slow to act despite multiple warnings.

The report's central conclusion wasn't just about the crimes themselves—it was about systemic failures to protect victims and bring offenders to justice sooner.

Many survivors say the biggest scandal isn't what happened to them, but how many opportunities there were to stop it.
