I spent this afternoon at a networking event with at the , meeting other biz execs, owners, and entrepreneurs. We had the opportunity to learn about each other's businesses, share what we do, and make helpful connections. We had a presentation on AI for business from Henry at , speed networking (think speed dating) games, Q&A sessions, and musical entertainment. It was a lot of fun!
Networking events are so important for me, not only for business purposes, but for personal reasons. To be in a room with other entrepreneurs who "get it" can allow me to feel a sigh of relief sometimes. I get the same feeling when I'm in a room full of veterans. IYKYK. It's also always such a valuable opportunity to bounce ideas off each other and share inside secrets across each of our industries. There's always people to learn from. There are sometimes people with ten times the experience.
It may be daunting to walk into a room where you don't know anyone, but after ten minutes you'll know at least one person, and after two hours that could be upwards of ten or twenty people. Everyone there is in the same boat. If you have never been to a networking event for your business, you can't go wrong by trying it out.
This is a one I'm looking forward to attending again.
