NIHL Moralee Cup - Group B qualification scenario

The Billingham Stars could miss out on the chance to defend their Moralee Cup crown if the Telford Tigers 2 get the result they need this Sunday.

Telford Tigers 2 require only a single point to secure their place into the next round of the Moralee Cup — joining Blackburn Hawks and Deeside Dragons — and guarantee that the trophy will have a new home this season.

Telford Tigers 2 can secure their place this weekend if;

If Telford Tigers 2 beat Billingham Stars by any score,
if Telford Tigers 2 can achieve an overtime win or lose in overtime or
If Telford Tigers 2 lose by no less than 2 goals.

Should Telford Tigers 2 secure a victory over the Billingham Stars, it would ensure a change in the trophy's ownership this season, subsequently eliminating Billingham Stars from the competition.

In order for the Billingham Stars to advance to the next round of the cup, the Billingham Stars must secure at least a 2-goal victory over Telford Tigers 2, followed by a win in their remaining cup fixture against the Nottingham Lions, regardless of the score.
