🔍 ODYSSEY UPDATE — SOUTH SHORE / PLEASURE BEACH SIDE 🔍

Hey everyone! 👋 Down at South Shore, right opposite Blackpool Pleasure Beach — you might remember I did a video here a couple of weeks back when they were putting Odyssey up… well, it looks like it's been taken down! 😔

It seems there's been a dispute between the council and the artist — I'm not 100% sure on the full details myself, just seeing it mentioned in other posts too. Exactly what the disagreement is about, I don't know — but whatever it is, it's sad to see it go so soon 💔

I was actually really looking forward to seeing it settle in too — it had been painted a fresh new colour and everything, I thought it was looking great! Was hoping we might see some new features added over time… so yeah, genuinely gutted to see it removed 😞

I know opinions were split — some of you weren't big fans of Odyssey and will be glad to see it gone, and that's fair enough! But personally, I did like it — it was a real landmark down there.

And now the spot looks a bit bare, doesn't it? 🫤 Before Odyssey, it was that lovely water fountain — so fingers crossed something gets sorted, whether that's bringing Odyssey back, or even bringing the fountain back — anything to fill that space nicely! 🤞

Let's hope the council and artist can sort things out — South Shore deserves something great there! 💛
