Storm Ashley Yellow weather warning - stay safe and stay away from the Promenade.

The Met Office currently have the North West under a weather warning, and this especially includes the Blackpool and Fylde Coast with winds in excess of 60 miles per hour later in the day. The especial concern for the Blackpool coast is the high spring tides at 1.28pm today and 1.50am Monday morning, and potential flood risk to the Promenade area. The marine forecast for the Irish Sea for this time is for a mainly southwest wind, force 7 to severe gale 9, increasing storm 10 for a time, decreasing 5 to 7 later.

We are excited to announce that a brand-new event, Monster Hunt, is coming to Blackpool this October.

Beware, the monsters are on their way! Blackpool’s rooftops are coming alive from Monday 28 October to Sunday 3 November as giant monsters take over buildings around the Golden Mile and Town Centre. Will you be able to track them down?

More details coming soon πŸ‘€

The entrance to Blackpool from the train station looks very different from 15 years ago.

New offices, hotel, supermarket, shops, a refurbished car park and an extended tram line are breathing fresh life to the area, and are bringing over 8,000 workers and students into the area in the coming years.

History Of Blackpool

This was a common sight back in the 1950s & 1960s walking the elephants over from the Tower Circus for a dip in the sea, they seemed to love the space and the chance to splash about.
